Damon’s successful film career helped him land a role on the TV sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live in 1985. Wayans left the show after only a year in order to pursue more film projects, including Hollywood Shuffle (1987), Roxanne (1987) with Steve Martin, and Punchline (1988) with Tom Hanks.
